Annual Meeting - January 28, 2009 - Avanti's, Peoria, IL

More than 40 people attended the 2008 Annual Meeting, which began with tasty appetizers provided by FOF member and Avanti’s owner Albert Zeller. After a delicious meal, the business meeting got under way.

FOF officers gave brief reports on the treasury, membership and program activities for the year. New board members elected included: Sue Ramey (membership) and Regina Hartley (secretary). Other board moves saw Matt Allen become treasurer, and Jim and Elfride McGill taking over cultural events. The other board members remain: Karen Robb, president; Kathy Dougherty, VP-programs; Eric and Theresa Hoadley, youth exchange and publicity; Roger and Ruth Martin, entertainment of guests; and Jo Ann Randolph, past president.

Following the election, a short recap of the 2008 youth exchange was highlighted by videos of the summer group’s activities. Several former and prospective youth exchange participants attended the meeting, and we hope the video rekindled both fond memories and hopes for exciting times to come!
